Title - Who is my Neighbor ?

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:-  Luke 10: 25-37

Bible Passages:- Luke 10: 25-37, Hebrews 11:16, John 10:10, James

You may be familiar with the story of a man robbed and seriously injured in the book of Luke 10:25 - 37
The thieves stripped him, wounded him and departed leaving him half dead.

The first person who passed by was a priest (a representative of God)
He took no action to help the wounded victim.
He left him in a wounded and critical state.

The second person who stumbled across the victim was a Levite.
A Levite is also someone considered a person close to God.
Consecrated to God's work. Yet he took no move or step to help the victim.

The third person who came across the same path of the victim was a Samaritan
Samaritan's are considered people of little or no regard for God.
They do not follow the commandments yet he did the right thing.

Who do you think God was pleased with ?
Who will be considered the victim's neighbour?
The Priest, Levite or the Samaritan.
Let us look around for people with needs.Do not ignore them.

Every little step you take is accounted for before God.
Any act of kindness will show forth in future.
Do not ignore the needs for your neighbour.
Show kindness today

Title - Grace Erases Disgrace

Teacher:- Pastor Moses Omoviye

Main Text:- Genesis 11: 3-7

Bible Passages:- Isaiah 1:18, Isaiah 54:5, Jeremiah 33:3

Grace is God's Help (unmerited favor)

We all need the Grace of God as He is able to do all things.
No matter how intense your situation may be, our God is able.
That Grace that commands God help will be our portion in Jesus Name.
Nahum 1:3-4 explains the greatness of our God who is able to do ALL things.
If the clouds are just like dust underneath his feet, what could be hard for this God ?

Things that bring Disgrace
- Sickness
- Poverty
and much more.
But When God kicks in *(His Grace)* Disgrace ceases.

Let Us see Examples of People who were Graced
===============

1 Corinthians 15:10, Paul mentioned all the work he did during his lifetime was not as a result of his hard work but by the Grace of God

Genesis 6:9 - Noah was living in a generation that was going to be utterly destroyed
However, God spared spared him and his Family.

The Grace of God will
- exempts You from Destruction
You may come from a family with a generational curse.
However, the Grace of God could exempt you from every stronghold of the enemy

- put you above the storms of Life
Everything on the face of the earth was covered with water.
However Noah's ark was lifted above the waters.
Grace causes you to float where others are sinking

- You can enjoy some measure of Grace by association
God found Noah as an upright man.
However his family were saved because of their connection with Him
When some people come into your life, you begin to enjoy more Grace

Grace is What
-  put God on your side
- Guarantees God's presence will go with you.
- over rules your history and background - Esther 2:17
- makes you preferred above others - Esther 2:17

The more you increase in Grace, the more you can make commands and Heaven will listen
Joshua commanded the sun to stand still and God honoured his word.
Joshua was too Graced to be Disgraced

May you ride on the wings of Grace in Jesus Name.

Title - Marriage Series

(The Effect in "Lack of Communication)

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- Genesis 11: 3-7

Bible Passages:- Isaiah 1:18, Isaiah 54:5, Jeremiah 33:3

In the bible reading today, we learnt about the tower of Babel.

Once their languages were confounded, they were scattered and could not complete the construction of the tower.

this portrays the effect in lack of communication.

Outlines:

1. Two Legitimate marriage
2. Effect in "Lack of Communication"
3. Remember your First Love

Outline 1:
Two Legitimate marriage
Isaiah 54.5 - talks about our marriage to God.
This happens when we first give our lives to Christ.

Outline 2:
Effect of "Lack of Communication" Isaiah 1:18, Jeremiah 33:3
Communication cannot take place if information cannot be decoded between the participants.
In the bible passages above, we can see God calling us to communicate with Him.
So many of us live such busy lives and don't even give God our time.

Outline 2b:
Effect of lack in Communication between Husband and Wife
 1. Will lead to suspicion - The purpose of marriage is partnership and companionship
2. Leads to confusion. 1sam 28: 3-20
3. The deceit of the enemy may prevail - Remember how Eve was deceived by the serpent
Perhaps, if Eve and Adam were together, perhaps they would have conquered the serpent,
Unity is extremely important - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Outline 3:
Remember your First Love
Let us ask ourselves if we take God as seriously as we did in the past ? Rev 2:4.

Title - Marriage Series part 2

Teacher:- Pastor Stella

Main Text:- Romans 1: 24 - 31

Bible Passages:- Romans 1: 24 - 31, Genesis 6:2, Genesis 2:18, Genesis 3:1, Psalm 107:2, Genesis 6:1-2.

Today, we observe different types of marriages in the world.
For instance, we can see marriage between a man and a man, woman and woman and in some cases between humans and animals.

This is not the original plan from God.
He invented marriage between a man and a woman.
Anyone who does otherwise will face the wrath of God.

It is important that your marriage be ordained by God because marriage can make you or mar you

Why some people rush into marriage

1. Appearance:

If you marry a man/woman for their looks or beauty, remember that beauty is like a flower.
It may be beautiful in the morning, however as the evening approaches, it fades.

2. Escape Family Pressure:

Some individuals choose to rush into marriage due to family pressures.
For example, as women age, they believe their time is ticking and have to rush into marriage.
You may end up with a monster and regret it all the days of your life.

3. Sexual desires

To fulfill lustful desires, a lot of people rush into marriage.
Reflect to the moment you started learning how to drive.
You wanted to drive so badly. Now that you are a an expert driver, you really don't feel like driving all the time.
It is worth waiting till God's time rather than rushing

4. Love for children

God promised Abraham a son at his old age. Due to lack of patience, Abraham slept with his wife's maid.
Now all Christians are facing the consequence of Abraham's mistake.
There is a constant disagreement between Muslims and Christians.

In Summary:

Marriage should not be taken lightly as it is a covenant.
It is a marathon not a sprint
You need patience and long suffering to make the marriage work
Pray without ceasing for your marriage

Title - Foundation (Marriage Series part 1)

Teacher:- Brother Sam Johnson

Main Text:- Mathew 7: 24-28

Bible Passages:- Genesis 2:25, Amos 3.3, Ephesians 5:21-24

In the world today, we observe some houses are built on water.
Although it may seem unrealistic or even impossible to some of us, if the foundation /structure is taken into careful consideration and planning, the house will stand.

So also the foundation of our homes and marriage must taken into careful planning and directed by God.
The book of Genesis 2:25 reveals that both Adam and Eve were naked however they were not ashamed. They had nothing hidden from one another hence they had no cause to be divided

Amos 3.3 further mentions the importance of two parties coming to an agreement unless they will be divided.

The secret of a successful marriage is stated in Ephesians 5:21-24
Wives are expected to submit to their husbands
Likewise husbands are expected to love their wives just as Christ loved the church.
Remember Husbands, Jesus loved us to the point of death
He died for your sins even though he was not guilty. He paid the price for you and I.
Let love abound and peace shall reign in the home.

Do not be deceived by what is going on in this world.
Even Marriage specialist and counselors are exposed to separation and divorce.
The only way your marriage is guaranteed to succeed is if the foundation is built on the Solid Rock (Jesus Christ)

Remain Blessed

1. Mercy is of the Lord. Deut 4:31

Even though mercy is of the Lord, God searches the heart 1 Samuel 16:6-7. 2 Chronicles 25:1-2

2. God is Sovereign, He does whatever pleases Him. Psalm 115:3, Psalm 135:6

3. God is Omniscience (He knows everything)
God searches through our heart 1sam 16:6+7
We wonder why God hated Esau yet loved Jacob.
That is because he searches through the heart and knows us all even before we were born.
In the book of 2 chronicles 25:1-2, Amaziah did what was right but not with a perfect heart

God is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.

ii)Man with Legions of demon Mark 5:19-20
