Title - Let Your Light Shine

Teacher:- Deaconess Colette Wolfe

Main Text:- Matthew 5:6

In the main text, Jesus encourages us to allow our light shine so that people can see Christ in us.

When Christ says, "let your light shine: what does he mean?

1) He wants us to be compassionate: Luke 10:30-34
Just like the story of the merciful Samaritan. He saw someone in need and did not walk away Luke 10:30-34

2) Do not be fearful - Numbers 13:30-32, Luke 1:30, 2 Tim 1:7

3) Do not show doubt (as this breaks God's heart) Luke 1:18-20
Zachariah, doubted the possibility of having a child at his old age. This was displeasing to God. Do we doubt God when things are not going our way? James 1:5-8, Prov 28:20

4) Show Faith (By truly believing in Him) - Heb 11:6

5) Abstain from Anger Gen 4:5, James 1:20, Eph 4:31-32, Prov 10.12, 1 cor 13:4-5

6) Walk before Him - Eph 5:8

7) Abstain from Hatred 1 John 4.8, 1 John 1:9

8) Show love Matt 5:16, 1 Cor 13:4-7, 1 Cor 13:13

Title - Season of Multiplication

Teacher:- Pastor Daniel Gbolahan

Main Text:- John 21:1-14

The number "9" is a very significant one
1) There are 9 fruits and gifts of the spirit. Gal 5:22-23.
2) The number 9 is also the due month for child delivery.
3) The ninth hour is associated with prayer Acts 3:1, Acts 10:30.
4) Multiplication is a sign of life and fulfilment of purpose. Gen 1:28
5) Today is the 9th day of the ninth month (it's no coincidence)
Note: The devil hates multiplication or increase. Hence, anywhere multiplication is possible, opposition and confrontation will be available Ex 1:10-14
However, with God, you can overcome all oppositions Is 66:7-9. Is 1:1 & 3.
Prayer point
Every good thing in my life due for delivery, I shall deliver safely this month in Jesus Name.
Every good thing God planted in my life, it is time for harvest
Lord help me stand perfect and complete in all the Will of God Col 4:12
Lord, every soul you have assigned to me shall not end up in hell Prov 11:30

Title - A call to freedom

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:-  Matthew 11:28

Other Bible Passages:- Matthew 11:28 (KJV), Hebrews 9:27, John 8:44 (KJV), 2 Corinthians 2:11, 1 Corinthians 15:31, 2 Timothy 3:12, Matthew 5:11-12, Psalms 130:3 (KJV) Acts 17:30 (KJV), 1 Peter 5:8

Jesus, in the book of Matt 11:28 has called each and every one with burdens to come unto Him
Because of the sins of our forefathers (Adam & Eve), all of us are in a ditch (sin).

However God has made a way out of the ditch through his Son Jesus. However it is a choice to accept the way out of the ditch through Christ.

  • It is a call from sorrow to joy
  • It is a call from troubled heart to a settled heart
  • It is a call  from lack to abundance
  • From being needy to becoming a victor
  • A call from the valley unto the mountain top

Indeed it is a very rich call that many people all over the world today have decided to reject.
It includes freedom from the works of the flesh, attacks of the devil and the ditch of the enemy.
However as children of God, we know that the devil does not want anyone to be freed from this bondage. He has many techniques to stop us from receiving our freedom. E.g by stopping us from listening to the word of God, or stopping us from acting on the word

How does the devil Operate - 1) Discouraging people by creating issues that will cause your spirit to be down (depression)

How does the devil Operate - 2) By allowing others to persecute the true worshippers of Jesus. 2 Tim 3.12, Matt 5:11-12

How does the devil Operate - 3)  Try to confuse us regarding the existence of heaven and hell Heb 9.27

How does the devil Operate - 4) By Entering into False brethren to pull you down

How does the devil Operate - 5) By reminding you of your past Acts 17:30
How do we retain our freedom - 1) Be sensitive to the word of God 1 Pet 5:8, 2 Cor 7:10

How do we retain our freedom - 2) Watch and pray Matt 26:41

How do we retain our freedom - 3) Move with godly and positive minded people

1) School: Everyone has different potentials. Hence it is important not to compare yourself to others.

2) Discipline: Children, discipline is good as it makes you know what is wrong or right. Don't assume your parents are cruel because they correct or discipline you. It is all out of love. See Prov 22:15, Heb 12:11

3) Parent's!! It is important to have a relationship between parents and children. When there is relationship, there is no dictatorship

Title - Be free Indeed

Teacher:- Pastor Grace Okorende

Main Text:- John 8:36

Other Bible Passages:-  Luke 8:28 (KJV), Genesis 3:24 (KJV), John 8:32 (KJV), Genesis 3:12 (KJV), 2 Corinthians 5:19 (KJV) 1 Timothy 3:15 (KJV) Ephesians 1:20-22 (KJV) Luke 8:1-3 (KJV) John 1:12 (KJV) John 16:7 (KJV) Ephesians 6:12-13 (KJV) Isaiah 59:1-3 (KJV) Ephesians 2:5-6 (KJV) John 5:5-20 (KJV) Job 1:6 (KJV) Job 2:1 (KJV) Revelation 12:10 (KJV)

What does it mean to be free? To have the power or right to act, speak or think as one wants without hindrance or resistance. The absence of subjection.
Satan, in his subtle way, put our first parents (Adam & Eve) in bondage through the sin of disobedience Gen 3.24. But Because God is full of mercy, he himself came in the form man to reconcile us to himself

Why do we need freedom

1) Freedom is entitled to the children of God (to break us away from the bondage of sin) John 5:5-14
All unrighteousness is sin (anything not in standing with God). In the end, sin brings bondage.

What Brings Bondage:

1) Anger, Bitterness, retaliation. 2 Kings 3:13-15; Eph 4:26-27, Mark 11:25, Prov 19:19, Prov 19.11
2) Sorrowing instead praising God. Acts 16:16-40
3) Disobedience Gen 3:24, Gen 3:12
4) Abusing God's grace Eph 6:12, Eph 2:5-6, John 5:14,
5) Sexual Immorality 1 Cor 6:19, Matt 5:29

When you allow any of these reside in you, then you are letting the accuser of brethren stand against your blessings. Job 1:6, Job 1:7, Job 2:1, Rev 12:1
