Title - I Shall End Well

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- Deut 32:29

In life there is something we ought to consider. Not everyone that starts a race will get the winning price.
For example, in the last Olympics, all contending athletes were involved in the race. However, only one person received the Gold Medal.
In like manner, we are all in race and the way we end the race matters to God.

From the very day of your birth in this world, your race has begun. We see an example of this account in the book of Matthew 2.
As soon as Jesus was born, King Herod attempted killing baby Jesus. Similarly, as soon as you are born, your race begins. Deuteronomy  32:29

Categories of Racers

1) Poor Starters that Ended poorly: Luke 23:39
An example is the thief that was hung on the cross next to Jesus. He started poorly and still ended his life poorly.

2) Poor Starters that Ended well - Luke 23:40-43,  2 Tim 4:6-7, 1 Tim 1:13

3) Racers that started well yet ended poorly: 1 Sam 28:3-18, 1 Chron 10:13-14

4) Racers that started well and ended well: John 14:30, John 19:30

Reflection

What Category do you fit in?
Do you still have interest in the things of God?
Are you on the narrow path?
Are you mindful of where you will spend your eternity?

Moral Lessons:

No matter how poorly you started, there is still hope to end well. If Christ could pray for Peter to end well, By Christ's Grace, you will end well

Prayer Point:

Lord I shall not perish with the World

Title - Let Your Light Shine

Teacher:- Deaconess Colette Wolfe

Main Text:- Matthew 5:6

In the main text, Jesus encourages us to allow our light shine so that people can see Christ in us.

When Christ says, "let your light shine: what does he mean?

1) He wants us to be compassionate: Luke 10:30-34
Just like the story of the merciful Samaritan. He saw someone in need and did not walk away Luke 10:30-34

2) Do not be fearful - Numbers 13:30-32, Luke 1:30, 2 Tim 1:7

3) Do not show doubt (as this breaks God's heart) Luke 1:18-20
Zachariah, doubted the possibility of having a child at his old age. This was displeasing to God. Do we doubt God when things are not going our way? James 1:5-8, Prov 28:20

4) Show Faith (By truly believing in Him) - Heb 11:6

5) Abstain from Anger Gen 4:5, James 1:20, Eph 4:31-32, Prov 10.12, 1 cor 13:4-5

6) Walk before Him - Eph 5:8

7) Abstain from Hatred 1 John 4.8, 1 John 1:9

8) Show love Matt 5:16, 1 Cor 13:4-7, 1 Cor 13:13

Title - Season of Multiplication

Teacher:- Pastor Daniel Gbolahan

Main Text:- John 21:1-14

The number "9" is a very significant one
1) There are 9 fruits and gifts of the spirit. Gal 5:22-23.
2) The number 9 is also the due month for child delivery.
3) The ninth hour is associated with prayer Acts 3:1, Acts 10:30.
4) Multiplication is a sign of life and fulfilment of purpose. Gen 1:28
5) Today is the 9th day of the ninth month (it's no coincidence)
Note: The devil hates multiplication or increase. Hence, anywhere multiplication is possible, opposition and confrontation will be available Ex 1:10-14
However, with God, you can overcome all oppositions Is 66:7-9. Is 1:1 & 3.
Prayer point
Every good thing in my life due for delivery, I shall deliver safely this month in Jesus Name.
Every good thing God planted in my life, it is time for harvest
Lord help me stand perfect and complete in all the Will of God Col 4:12
Lord, every soul you have assigned to me shall not end up in hell Prov 11:30
