Title - Help From God

Main Text:- Psalms 121

Teacher: Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Irrespective of who you are, you would always need help.

However, not everyone gets help, because they seek help from the wrong source.

Most of us turn to our spouse, children or even the government for help.
Then get disappointed when humans don't meet our needs.

For example, Rachel was barren and turned to her husband, Jacob for help.
But, Jacob was in no place to give her children (Gen 30:1-2)

Likewise, Job's wife disappointed him in his moment of despair (Job 2:9)

Children could also be a source of disappointment.
Absolom, David's very son, turned against him and tried to kill him (2 Sam 15:19)

Friends may disappoint us. David bore witness that his very own friend turned against him (Psalms 41:9)

Relatives may have disappointed you in the past (Matthew 10.36)

Even as individuals, we may have disappointed ourselves in the past (Job 3:1).

Truth is, as humans we are all limited.

The only source of help, that will NEVER disappoint us is Jesus Christ (Isaiah 41:10)
Give your life to Him, and He will never let you down.
