Title - Call to Make an Impact

Main Text:-  Genesis 12:1-3

Other Bible passages: Daniel 12:4

Teacher:-  Doctor Hope

Being called to make an impact means stepping aside to make a difference
Abraham is a good example of someone called by God to make an impact in life.
He was called from his country to depart to an unknown land as God instructed him.
He was willing to leave his background ( the life of idolatary) to be drawn closer to God.
As God called Abraham, so also God is looking for people that will worship Him in spirit and in truth

Will you be that vessel of honor, santified for the master's use only?
Will you be different as Daniel chose to stand out for God ?
Will you stand for God so he could use you for his Glory?

If you are willing, pray along with us

Prayer point: Lord make me a vessel of Impact.
May you be santified for the master's use only in Jesus Name.

Title - Our Love for God shall be tested

Main Text:-  1 Corinthians 13: 1-10

Other Bible passages: Proverbs 8: 17-18, John 3:16, Matthew 26:41, Gen 22: 4-17

Teacher:-  Pastor Paul Orimolusi

The main text  (1 cor 13:1-10) lists the characteristics of love. It is very important we demonstrate our love to God and man.

Characteristics of Love.

Love Gives:

In the book John 3:16, the bible tells us God so loved the world he allowed his only Son die for us.
His Son (Jesus) was also willing to yield himself as a sacrifice for our sins.
He paid the debt he did not owe just for us.

Also, in the book of Genesis 22: 4-17, it narrates the story of Abraham willing to give up his only son just to prove his love for God.
Note that Abraham was classified as a friend of God, yet his love for God was tested.
Abraham had waited for 25 years to have this promised child yet God asked him to sacrifice his only child.
God only made this request to see how much Abraham loved God.

The book of James 1:12  states that anyone who passes the test, such person will receive the crown of life. Don't be discouraged when you are tried or tested. Remember there is a crown awaiting you.

Have a blessed Week!!!

Title - New Resolution

Main Text:-  Micah 6: 1-8

Teacher:-  Deaconess Precious Ogundipe

Resolution is a firm decision to do or not to do something.

Many people created new resolutions as we entered the year 2014.

For example, some would love to lose weight in the new year, others to read the word of God everyday, some to finish the bible in a year, whilst others say "I will eat healthy".

However, we find out most people don't meet their expectations due to one excuse or the other. Some will say, the resolution is boring, others will say I'm too busy and much more excuses.

The fact is we are the Israelite of today. We are quick to judge the Isrealites of old however we are worse than them.Malachi 6:1-8

If you create a new year resolution and you are struggling with keeping up, you need Jesus in your life because with Jesus you can do all things.
Daniel 11:32 states "if you know God, you will do exploits"
Invite Jesus in your heart today and you will find out you can do all things once you have Jesus by your side.

As you invite Jesus in your life today, you will find it easier to keep up with your new year resolutions (as long as they are according to God's will).
You will never be put to shame in Jesus Name.

Remain Blessed.

Title - The Purpose Of Our Living

Main Text:-  Rev 4:11

Teacher:- Pastor (Mrs) Hope Orimolusi.

Why am I on this earth? Why am I a Christian? Why am I a woman/man? Why didn't God make me a piece of wood? Or a chair? God created us in His own image. He created us for a purpose. Rev 4:11

We may be asking ourselves if anything good can still come out of our lives. As long as God is still on the throne, God has a purpose for our lives and He will cause it to come to pass.

Why did God create us?
1. You were created, FOR God, to know God and live for Him. God created us for His own pleasure. The life you are living is not yours. Anything out of living for God is useless. Nobody is praying to die, but it is a debt that everyone has to pay. Let us ask ourselves the question 'If I close my eyes in death now, who will welcome me home?' Live your life for the glory by loving Him with all your heart, mind and might. Deut 10:12 1 Cor 10:21, Gen 6:6.

When you make God the number one thing in your life, He will go out of His way to make you happy.

Prayer Point: Lord please help me to fulfill Your purpose for creating me. Lord please show me mercy and help me to please You.

Title - Produce Your Cause

Main Text:-  Isaiah 38: 1-5.

Bible Passages:- Dan 1:8, Isaiah 49, Jeremiah 33:3

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi.

A lawyer is somebody that goes to the court with facts. He is aware there is a plaintiff and a defendant. Both parties will have their individual lawyers.
It is likely the guilty party gets away with a crime or an offence committed if he/she has a very good lawyer.

Also, in the spiritual realm, God wants us to plead our cause before Him.

In the main text of today's reading (Isaiah 38: 1-5), although it was Hezekiah's time to die, he pleaded with God to remember how he served Him whole heartedly. Hence God answered his prayer and added 15 years to his life.

Let us break down the main text of today verse by verse:

Isaiah 38: 1
We are made to understand Hezekiah was a man that loved God with the whole of his heart yet he fell sick.
this tells us anybody sickness is something that could happen to anyone not just sinners.
King Hezekiah was so sick the bible recorded he was close to death.
This proves that challenges will come at a stage in our lives.
Isaiah 38: 2
Hezekiah prayed to the Lord.
Although challenges will come at some stage in our lives, we must turn to God in prayer

Isaiah 38: 3.
Remember Now:
When communication with God through prayer, do you have a case to plead before Him ?
Remember the devil is an accuser of brethren
Hence you have to present yourself clean before God so the devil has nothing to use against you.

How can we make God remember us for Good ?
1. Evangelism
2.Praising God
3.Cheerful giving
4. Consecration to God Dan 1:8, Isiah 49, Jer 33:3

Isaiah 38: 4-5
This verse proves God can break  a protocol.
Even if scientist have proved there is no hope for you regarding a certain sickness or whatever situation you find yourself, remember God is more than able to break that protocol.
Put God First in everything you do and He will always be there for you.

Have a blessed week :)

Title - Evangelism

Main Text:-  John 15: 15-16.

Bible Passages:- Mathew 28:19-20, Acts 9:36, Mark 16:18

Teacher:- Mr Sam Johnson.

It is very important to know once you receive, you have to give back as well.

You are not a complete christian if you do not participate in Evangelism
In the book of John 15:15 -16, God commanded us to go and bear fruit (that is to win souls for God).

If we follow God's command and evangelize, we will bring peace to our community and the nation as a whole.

There will be no records of:
Bombing churches,
attacking schools
Kidnapping
Murder and all sorts of detestable things present in our world today etc

Matthew 18:19-20 also references Jesus' command to teach ALL nations.

Let us take evangelism seriously everywhere we go.
In church, at work, in school and anywhere else we may find ourselves

There are lots of souls awaiting your call.
Some are lonely, depressed, broken hearted and it is our responsibility as Christians to draw them close to God

Let us involve ourselves in God's business.
Let us obey God's words regarding evangelism.
Let us pray that we shall be useful for God's glory.
Remember there is an account of everything you do here on Earth.
Seek first the kingdom of God and all other things shall be added unto you.

Have a blessed Sunday

Bible Passages:- Isiah 41.10, 2Kings 6: 15 -16, Mathew 17:24-27

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Let us take King Solomon as an example.

God gave him the right to ask for whatever he needed, yet he chose wisdom over riches and wealth.

Now God is asking us "what do we want for 2014"?

Let us be encouraged to request for something of substance instead chasing after shadows.

All we need in the year 2014 is God's presence.
Anyone that secures God's presence is guaranteed.

What the Presence of God can fetch us

1. Guarantees protection. Isiah 41.10, 2Kings 6: 15 -16

2.Guarantees Provision Mathew 17:24-27

3.Defense Acts 5:34-39

4. Gives Honor and covers our shame
John 2: 1-11, Dan 3: 25 -30
Nebuchadnezzer had no option but to promote the 3 Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego

5.Gives Direction
God does not want you to leave a life of confustion in any aspect.
God's presence gives direction Ex: 13- 17 -2.
The only person that can give us the right direction is God only.

6.Guarantees Favour and prosperity Gen 39.2, Gen 39.21.
These bible passages explains God made Joseph prosperous and showed him mercy becaus His presence was with Joseph.

How To obtain God's presence.
1. Obey God's commandment.Deut 28: 1-13

Have a happy new year.
God Bless you.
