Title - Enough is Enough

Teacher:- Pastor Mr Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- 1 Samuel 17:51

Bible Passages:- James 4:7, Mark 10:48, Psalms 70, Mathew 15: 21-28

The message title of today is not of a calm motive.
Rather of someone ready to press forward.
The main Bible passage of today (1sam 15:51) is of David when he slew Goliath.
Even when he was assured Goliath was dead, he still made haste to cut off the head of his enemy.

There is a proverb that states a bird can fly over the head of a person, however, it is left for the individual to allow the bird build a nest on his head.

Are you ready to fight against spiritual forces ?

Features of People who know "Enough is Enough"

1. A statement that Lord "Help me now or the enemy rejoices over me"
Such a person has no other alternative but to seek God's face for help.

2. It is a Statement of the Desperate
Gen 32-33, Mark 10:48, Ps 70.1, Matt 15:21-28, Es 4:3-4.
Many of us take no for an answer even though they are close to break through.

Do not give up. cry unto God until your joy is full.

Title - Help From Above

Teacher:- Pastor Mrs Hope Orimolusi

Main Text:- Psalm 121

Bible Passages:- Psalm 127.1, Psalm 46: 1-3.

Where does your help come from?
We humans have several restrictions or limitations.
Hence we should focus our attention on God as he able to do all things.
Psalm 127.1 states "unless God build the house, the builders labor in vain"
He is a dependable God hence put you TOTAL trust in Him today.
Make Him your help today and you will not be dissapointed

The World is going through various crisis.
Both natural and man-made disasters that man cannot resolve
However, God will make a way for escape for you in the midst of all trials Job 22.29
Take Goliath as an example; though trained from his youth for battle, little David (trained to be a shepherd) defeated him with a sling stone.

Pharaoh assumed with all the chariots and horses, he could defeat the children of Israel. However he was drowned in the red sea with his mighty soldiers and chariot

How to Get Help from Above

- Determine your present situation
- Look for God's promises in His Word (locate your situation from the Word of God).
- Claim the Word
- Acknowledge God and believe His promises
- Be specific concerning what you desire
- Trust in Him with ALL your heart.

Title - Help From Above

Teacher:- Pastor Mrs Hope Orimolusi

Main Text:- Psalm 121:1-2

Bible Passages:- Ex 1:8, 2 kings 6:26-27, Isaiah 49:15, Genesis 37.18,

Everyone on earth needs help except from our God Almighty.
He's so powerful that he needs nothing from we men.
However we humans need His help Psalms 121:1-2

Wrong means of getting help

1. Government Ex 1:8; 2 kings 6:26-27
The government can change anytime. There was a time Alexandra the great was in authority.
At a different stage Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair e.t.c.

2. From Parents Isaiah 49:15
Your parents are just care takers. Our help can only come from God.

3. Our Siblings.
Genesis 37.18

4. Spouse Genesis 20:2, Gen 26:6-9, Job 2:9.

5. Children 2Sam 14:25 ; 15.31

Title - Who is my Neighbor ?

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:-  Luke 10: 25-37

Bible Passages:- Luke 10: 25-37, Hebrews 11:16, John 10:10, James

You may be familiar with the story of a man robbed and seriously injured in the book of Luke 10:25 - 37
The thieves stripped him, wounded him and departed leaving him half dead.

The first person who passed by was a priest (a representative of God)
He took no action to help the wounded victim.
He left him in a wounded and critical state.

The second person who stumbled across the victim was a Levite.
A Levite is also someone considered a person close to God.
Consecrated to God's work. Yet he took no move or step to help the victim.

The third person who came across the same path of the victim was a Samaritan
Samaritan's are considered people of little or no regard for God.
They do not follow the commandments yet he did the right thing.

Who do you think God was pleased with ?
Who will be considered the victim's neighbour?
The Priest, Levite or the Samaritan.
Let us look around for people with needs.Do not ignore them.

Every little step you take is accounted for before God.
Any act of kindness will show forth in future.
Do not ignore the needs for your neighbour.
Show kindness today

Title - Grace Erases Disgrace

Teacher:- Pastor Moses Omoviye

Main Text:- Genesis 11: 3-7

Bible Passages:- Isaiah 1:18, Isaiah 54:5, Jeremiah 33:3

Grace is God's Help (unmerited favor)

We all need the Grace of God as He is able to do all things.
No matter how intense your situation may be, our God is able.
That Grace that commands God help will be our portion in Jesus Name.
Nahum 1:3-4 explains the greatness of our God who is able to do ALL things.
If the clouds are just like dust underneath his feet, what could be hard for this God ?

Things that bring Disgrace
- Sickness
- Poverty
and much more.
But When God kicks in *(His Grace)* Disgrace ceases.

Let Us see Examples of People who were Graced
===============

1 Corinthians 15:10, Paul mentioned all the work he did during his lifetime was not as a result of his hard work but by the Grace of God

Genesis 6:9 - Noah was living in a generation that was going to be utterly destroyed
However, God spared spared him and his Family.

The Grace of God will
- exempts You from Destruction
You may come from a family with a generational curse.
However, the Grace of God could exempt you from every stronghold of the enemy

- put you above the storms of Life
Everything on the face of the earth was covered with water.
However Noah's ark was lifted above the waters.
Grace causes you to float where others are sinking

- You can enjoy some measure of Grace by association
God found Noah as an upright man.
However his family were saved because of their connection with Him
When some people come into your life, you begin to enjoy more Grace

Grace is What
-  put God on your side
- Guarantees God's presence will go with you.
- over rules your history and background - Esther 2:17
- makes you preferred above others - Esther 2:17

The more you increase in Grace, the more you can make commands and Heaven will listen
Joshua commanded the sun to stand still and God honoured his word.
Joshua was too Graced to be Disgraced

May you ride on the wings of Grace in Jesus Name.

Title - Marriage Series

(The Effect in "Lack of Communication)

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- Genesis 11: 3-7

Bible Passages:- Isaiah 1:18, Isaiah 54:5, Jeremiah 33:3

In the bible reading today, we learnt about the tower of Babel.

Once their languages were confounded, they were scattered and could not complete the construction of the tower.

this portrays the effect in lack of communication.

Outlines:

1. Two Legitimate marriage
2. Effect in "Lack of Communication"
3. Remember your First Love

Outline 1:
Two Legitimate marriage
Isaiah 54.5 - talks about our marriage to God.
This happens when we first give our lives to Christ.

Outline 2:
Effect of "Lack of Communication" Isaiah 1:18, Jeremiah 33:3
Communication cannot take place if information cannot be decoded between the participants.
In the bible passages above, we can see God calling us to communicate with Him.
So many of us live such busy lives and don't even give God our time.

Outline 2b:
Effect of lack in Communication between Husband and Wife
 1. Will lead to suspicion - The purpose of marriage is partnership and companionship
2. Leads to confusion. 1sam 28: 3-20
3. The deceit of the enemy may prevail - Remember how Eve was deceived by the serpent
Perhaps, if Eve and Adam were together, perhaps they would have conquered the serpent,
Unity is extremely important - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Outline 3:
Remember your First Love
Let us ask ourselves if we take God as seriously as we did in the past ? Rev 2:4.

Title - Marriage Series part 2

Teacher:- Pastor Stella

Main Text:- Romans 1: 24 - 31

Bible Passages:- Romans 1: 24 - 31, Genesis 6:2, Genesis 2:18, Genesis 3:1, Psalm 107:2, Genesis 6:1-2.

Today, we observe different types of marriages in the world.
For instance, we can see marriage between a man and a man, woman and woman and in some cases between humans and animals.

This is not the original plan from God.
He invented marriage between a man and a woman.
Anyone who does otherwise will face the wrath of God.

It is important that your marriage be ordained by God because marriage can make you or mar you

Why some people rush into marriage

1. Appearance:

If you marry a man/woman for their looks or beauty, remember that beauty is like a flower.
It may be beautiful in the morning, however as the evening approaches, it fades.

2. Escape Family Pressure:

Some individuals choose to rush into marriage due to family pressures.
For example, as women age, they believe their time is ticking and have to rush into marriage.
You may end up with a monster and regret it all the days of your life.

3. Sexual desires

To fulfill lustful desires, a lot of people rush into marriage.
Reflect to the moment you started learning how to drive.
You wanted to drive so badly. Now that you are a an expert driver, you really don't feel like driving all the time.
It is worth waiting till God's time rather than rushing

4. Love for children

God promised Abraham a son at his old age. Due to lack of patience, Abraham slept with his wife's maid.
Now all Christians are facing the consequence of Abraham's mistake.
There is a constant disagreement between Muslims and Christians.

In Summary:

Marriage should not be taken lightly as it is a covenant.
It is a marathon not a sprint
You need patience and long suffering to make the marriage work
Pray without ceasing for your marriage

Title - Foundation (Marriage Series part 1)

Teacher:- Brother Sam Johnson

Main Text:- Mathew 7: 24-28

Bible Passages:- Genesis 2:25, Amos 3.3, Ephesians 5:21-24

In the world today, we observe some houses are built on water.
Although it may seem unrealistic or even impossible to some of us, if the foundation /structure is taken into careful consideration and planning, the house will stand.

So also the foundation of our homes and marriage must taken into careful planning and directed by God.
The book of Genesis 2:25 reveals that both Adam and Eve were naked however they were not ashamed. They had nothing hidden from one another hence they had no cause to be divided

Amos 3.3 further mentions the importance of two parties coming to an agreement unless they will be divided.

The secret of a successful marriage is stated in Ephesians 5:21-24
Wives are expected to submit to their husbands
Likewise husbands are expected to love their wives just as Christ loved the church.
Remember Husbands, Jesus loved us to the point of death
He died for your sins even though he was not guilty. He paid the price for you and I.
Let love abound and peace shall reign in the home.

Do not be deceived by what is going on in this world.
Even Marriage specialist and counselors are exposed to separation and divorce.
The only way your marriage is guaranteed to succeed is if the foundation is built on the Solid Rock (Jesus Christ)

Remain Blessed

Title - CANDIDATE OF GOD'S MERCY

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- Romans 9:10-20

Bible Passages:- Deuteronomy 4:31, Psalm 115:3, Psalm 135:6, 2 Chronicles 25: 1-2, 1sam 16: 6-7

1. Mercy is of the Lord. Deut 4:31

Even though mercy is of the Lord, God searches the heart 1 Samuel 16:6-7. 2 Chronicles 25:1-2

2. God is Sovereign, He does whatever pleases Him. Psalm 115:3, Psalm 135:6

3. God is Omniscience (He knows everything)
God searches through our heart 1sam 16:6+7
We wonder why God hated Esau yet loved Jacob.
That is because he searches through the heart and knows us all even before we were born.
In the book of 2 chronicles 25:1-2, Amaziah did what was right but not with a perfect heart

God is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.
The following examples are people in the bible who served God with their whole heart

i) Mary Magdalene Luke 8:1-3
ii)Man with Legions of demon Mark 5:19-20
iii) The woman at the well John 4: 17-29

Title - The Battle is the Lord's

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- 1 Samuel 17: 46-58

Bible Passages:- Daniel 2:22, John 9:4,1 Samuel 17:46-58, Esther 7.10, Joel 2:25-27.

God can see everything ongoing in this world and He is ready to fight our battles

However, when God gives you an instruction, it must be done in haste
Once you are given an order from God, do it urgently. John 9:4

In the book of 1 Samuel 17, we see the account of David against Goliath.
David was discouraged even by his own brothers that he cannot defeat such great Giant.
David knew he had God's backing and did not waste time at all in facing the enemy.
Despite all the discouragement from other fellow Israelite and Goliath (who called him a dog), he did not give up

Bear in mind that Goliath was armed whist David was unarmed
However, because God was with David, He conquered Goliath with a stone.
Not a sword, Gun, axe, knife or a bomb, just a stone.

God knows the weakest point of your enemy and is ready to deal with them.
God guarded the head of Goliath so that the stone sunk into his forehead.
A Giant conquered by a little boy.
This was the hand of God

Just as God defeated Goliath on behalf of the Isrealites, may he grant us victory in Jesus Name.

Title - Order My Steps

Teacher:- Pastor PaulHope Orimolusi

Main Text:- Romans 8:9

Bible Passages:- Numbers 14.34, Genesis 13:9-18.

As soon as a baby is born, his/her journey commences.
There are bumps in our journey
It may be in relation to our business, marriage, jobs etc

Why do presidents need various counsellors ?
There are decision in life that may even confuse the president and he will require advice.
Just to ensure he is on the right track

The sad part of it is that so many dreams have been shattered as a result of "lack of navigation".
Do not loose hope. God can retrace our steps even when we have missed.

Leading Entities that hinder our Journey in life
1. Flesh
2. Evil spirit

Any one who yields to any of the above cannot have their steps ordered by God.

Consequences of not having your steps ordered by God.
- The journey of life for such individual will be elongated Num 14.34
Such person may not even reach his destination.

- Will always walk by Sight Gen 13.10-14
They tend to follow the multitude instead of seeking God.
Remember not everything that glitters is gold.

On the other hand, if your steps are ordered by God,
 - such individual's potentials will be maximized
- Will not become a liability rather an asset  Matt 25: 14-30
- Will feel fufilled Luke 18:28-30
- Will never enter into satanic ditch Gen 13:8-18

Even if you have missed your destination and have no hope, remember with God all things are possible
God can retrace our steps even when we have missed our steps.

Run unto Him and He will help you.

Title - Divine Insurance

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- Psalm 91

Bible Passages:- Psalm 91: 1-16

Do you know there are troubles everywhere in the world ?
If you watch the news frequently, you will see every part of the world faces one form of trouble or the other

Few years ago even up till now, In Nigeria, a terrorist called Boko Haram came into existence in 2009
and have being causing havoc in Nigeria

What can we say about Libya, Liberia, China, Sudan, Europe even America (with the slogan "In God we Trust")
All of these countries/continents are facing big troubles.
All of these troubles are physical (things we can see with our naked eyes)

Let us go into the spiritual realm.
Spiritual war fare has no respect for race, color, distance etc
Irrespective of the war fare you are going through, God has made a way of escape for his children
It is important that we are insured in God.

What is insurance ?

A promise of compensation for specific potential future losses in exchange for a periodic payment. Insurance is very important

It is important you are insured in Jesus Christ
Any life that is not insured in Christ, the devil is always there to devour such individual
The token for this insurance is the blood of Jesus
Jesus has paid it all (both physical and spiritual war-fares)

Clauses in God's Insurance
===========

  • Anyone that strays out of the shadow of the Almighty God is not insured
  • He does not cover those who trust in something else Psalm 90: 1-4
  • Those who use God as an extra wheel pro 1:24-30
  • Anyone that tempts God Psalm 91.11
  • Those who hate God Psalm 91.14
  • Those who don't know His Name Philippians 2 :5-11
Give your life wholly to Christ today and stay insured in the shadow of the Almighty.

Title - Comforting Words for the weary soul

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- 1Kings 19: 1-4

Bible Passages:- Isaiah 3:10, Deuteronomy 31:6, 1Tim 4:1, Zechariah 2:8

There are issues in peoples life today irrespective of your status
Sometimes, even the children of God deem it necessary to take steps out of God's purpose for their lives
Take Elijah as a sample 1kings 19:1-4
After slaying the prophets of Baal, Jezebel threatened to take his life and he fled
Remember Elijah is a man of God that called fire from heaven to consume his enemies
Instead of crying out to God this time, he fled from Jezebel
Are you Weary ? God has comforting words for your soul

Things that could cause one's soul to be weary

1. Issues of Life
e.g the woman with the issue of blood had this issue for 12 years
Luke 8: 43-48

2) Prophetic Utterance
The Love of many for God will wax cold
So many Christians do not even feel the necessity to spend time with God (the lover of our soul)
We would rather spend time on T.V 1Tim 4.1

3)An attempt from the pit of hell to paint God black

In order to resolve the issues of life:

1). see God as a God bigger than your problems

2)Think of God's goodness

3) God has declared you are the apple of his eyes
Hence see yourself as God sees you. Zec 2:8

4) Remember God has declared, it shall be well with thee. Is 3:10

5)Take note of the fact that God did not disappoint the people of old.
So why should he disappoint you ?
If He did it before, He will do it again.

Title - Actions that will provoke God's attention

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- Gen 22: 1- 15

Bible Passages:- Gen 22: 4+12, Dan 1:8, Dan 3:16-25, 1kings 3:4, Matt 26:7-10

Actions to Provoke

1)An act of genuine fear of God Gen 22: 1-15

Genuine love is when things are going bad and yet, you remain faithful to the one you trust (God).  In Gen 22:1-15, we can see the extent to which Abraham trusted God as he was willing to offer his only son (Is-sac) as a sacrifice.

2) Unshakeable Faith
Without faith, no one can please God Gen 22: 4 + 12
Abraham was a good example of someone with unshakeable faith
God himself acknowledged "I know that thou fearest God"

3) A sacrificial and total surenderness and uncompromising Holy Living in the face of Adversities
Dan 1:8 tells us of Daniels decision not to defile himself with the kings meat
Another example would be Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego who refused to bow down to down to strange gods
How many christians today are bowing to things of the world today ?

4) A sacrificial giving
Let us take King Solomon as another example.
Solomon offered thousands of cattle and ships unto the Lord and this act certainly caught God's attention.
1kings 3:4, Matt 26:7-10

5)An act of praise and thanksgiving unto God
King David developed an attitude of praising and worshipping God.
God himself testified David is a man after his heart
Acts 13:22

6)Evangelism
Making Jesus known Mark 1:40-45

7) Hospitality
2kings 4:8-36
Gen 18: 1-1

Title - Maintaining Your Victory

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- Matthew 12:43-45

Bible Passages:- Judges 14:5-6, Judges 16:20, Isaiah 3:10, Numbers 14:28, Deuteronomy 28:1-13,

As we end our 100 days prayer and fasting, the enemy has already gathered forces to try and make sure we don't enjoy our victory.

7 Steps to Maintaining Your Victory

1. Do not have a SINFUL level of self confidence. UNHEALTHY self confidence will erode the blessings of God from our lives.

2. 1 Peter 5:8 Know YOUR enemy! Do NOT underestimate the enemy. Underestimating the enemy may cause him to gain our trophies

3. Adhere strictly to the WORD of God.

4. Stay under the shadow of the ALMIGHTY God. The enemy is waiting for our downfall. Let us stay UNDER COVER!

5. Always make POSITIVE confessions. Numbers 14:28

6. Be CAREFUL of the company you KEEP! Dan 3:16 Those that do not have anything

7. Let NOT God's praise CEASE from your mouth. Psalm 34:1

Prayer: Father, the day that the enemy is waiting for/planned, where I will cry for sorrow, Father PLEASE let that day NEVER come.

Title - Oh! that men would praise the Lord

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Main Text:- Psalm 107: 31-32.

Bible Passages:- Psalm 107: 31-32

As today is a Thanksgiving Sunday, we may not dive in too deep into the Word.
Today is a day to praise God. Not a time to bombard God with request rather let us praise Him.

For David to make the exclamation "Oh that men would praise God" means he must have seen how ungrateful humans are to God.

Everyday, people are dying as a result of health issues, some in accidents, others were murdered.

Oh that men would be thoughtful and grateful to God.
Do you think it is because you are better than does who died brutally?
How wrong you are if you think so.

Why are you complaining because your bank account is not as robust as you intend ?
Or because you don't have a new car, shoes, clothes and other material things that we allow weigh us down ?

Let me narrate a true story in Nigeria where some people kidnapped and brutally murdered all in the name of black magic, power, money etc ?
Those that were brutally murdered are not worse sinners than we that are still alive.
But God was merciful to keep you alive yet you are not grateful to Him?

Instead of complaining, why not count your blessings, name them one by one,
why not count your blessings and see what the Lord has done
Just count your blessings and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Title - An excellent woman

Teacher:- Sister Ola Olaseinde

Main Text:- Psalms 45:6-7

Bible Passages:- Proverbs 17:22, Nehemiah 8:10, Hebrews 1:9, 1 Samuel 16:1-3.

Who is an excellent woman ?
Her heart, mind and tongue is of God. She is never idle.
She is the gardener, cook, help, uses her tongue for kind words, her husband praises her and even much more.

Men, please note it is important you praise your wives at all times.
They do a lot for us that we may not even recognize

Characteristics of an excellent woman.

1. A woman with a vision

She understands the glory of her calling and fulfills her purpose.
Let us take Mary as an example.
she knew her vision as stated in Luke 1:28 and she worked to reach her goal
Luke 1:48
She must have gone through a lot of mockery (an unmarried woman with baby was a thing of disgrace)
however, she did not let go of her vision/dreams
she did not give up on Jesus even to the point of his death on the cross

b). This is another characteristic of an excellent woman
She never gives up in prayer, raising her children and allowing unity abound in the family
Abigail although married to a churlish husband was still regarded in the bible as a woman of understand
1sam 25:3

2. Be ready to pay the price 2 Tim 2:3

It is not easy to be an excellent woman. It HURTS. Rom 15.1
However you must remember that before gold turned into a valuable substance, it had gone through fire.

Make Jesus you're number. He will make you excellent woman. Mathew 22:211

Happy Mother's day :)

Title - Oil of Gladness

Teacher:- Pastor Hope Orimolusi

Main Text:- Psalms 45:6-7

Bible Passages:- Proverbs 17:22, Nehemiah 8:10, Hebrews 1:9, 1 Samuel 16:1-3.

There are different types of oil.
Each oil with various use and purpose.
For example, we have Diesel oil (which could be used for lubrication), vegetable oil (for cooking) and so on.
However there is a one particular oil that is highly recognized by God. This is His anointing oil.
On Sunday the 23rd March, we were anointed with the oil of gladness
The book of proverbs 17:22 makes us aware that the vision of the sorrowful is always blurred. It also states sorrow is not a good thing as it dries up the bones.

The Significance of Gladness

1. Joy Refreshes Nehemiah 8:10
2. Joy attracts Favour
3. It gives clear vision
when sorrowful, one's vision is blurred hence such individual has no sense of direction.

Conditions to receive oil of gladness

Remember, for every good promise God has proposed in his heart for his children, there are conditions and instructions we ought to obey

1. Love righteousness and hate iniquity Heb 1:9
2. Let your heart be pure and blameless before God.
God searches the heart. If God sees your heart is full of iniquity and evil, there is a chance you will be rejected by God as seen in the book of 1Samuel 16:1-13
Once God rejected Saul, the Spirit of God departed from him and evil spirits tormented him.
God also anointed David King instead of Saul.

Brethren, let us come to God with a pure heart. Willing to accept Him in spirit and in truth.
May the oil of gladness never depart from us in Jesus Name
Have a blessed week ahead.

God bless :)

Title - Excellent Christian

Teacher:- Pastor Hope Orimolusi

Main Text:- Philippians 3.12-14

Bible Passages:- Deuteronomy 28.1, Deuteronomy 11:13-14, Joshua 1:8, 2 Tim 2:15, Luke

There are two types of Christians

1. Nominal Christians:
These type of Christians regard Christianity as a label.
They are also referred to as church goers

2. Sanctified Christians:
Want to know more about God. The more they know God, the more they want to know about Him.

Characteristics of Excellent Christian.

1. Hearken diligently to the voice of God. Exodus 15:26

2. Studying the word of God regularly. Joshua says " This book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success". 2 Tim.2:15

3. Take your stand: as far as God is concerned, He wants your heart and not mere lip service, it is only by doing the will of God absolutely that you can claim to be excellent. 1.Cor. 10:12. "Therefore let him who thinks he stands take lest he fall"
Matt. 16:24. " Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him dent himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me" Don't be a secret follower of Jesus.

4. You must aspire to please God in all things you do, do things according to how God will do them and also aspire to get to where God wants you to reach. Phill. 3:12-14, " Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected, but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me............"

5. Endure hardship 11Tim.2:1-3. "you therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ"

6. You must be Holy Spirit filled. It is the Holy Spirit that gives gifts and fruit that make one to become an excellent Christian. I Cor. 12:7-10 , Gal. 5:22-23.
1 Sam 2:9b says" For by strength shall no man prevail".

7. You must be prayerful Luke 18:1. Then He spake a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, I Thess. 5: 17. "Pray without ceasing"

8. Mercy of God. Romans 9:16. " So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy".

Title - Call to Make an Impact

Main Text:-  Genesis 12:1-3

Other Bible passages: Daniel 12:4

Teacher:-  Doctor Hope

Being called to make an impact means stepping aside to make a difference
Abraham is a good example of someone called by God to make an impact in life.
He was called from his country to depart to an unknown land as God instructed him.
He was willing to leave his background ( the life of idolatary) to be drawn closer to God.
As God called Abraham, so also God is looking for people that will worship Him in spirit and in truth

Will you be that vessel of honor, santified for the master's use only?
Will you be different as Daniel chose to stand out for God ?
Will you stand for God so he could use you for his Glory?

If you are willing, pray along with us

Prayer point: Lord make me a vessel of Impact.
May you be santified for the master's use only in Jesus Name.

Title - Our Love for God shall be tested

Main Text:-  1 Corinthians 13: 1-10

Other Bible passages: Proverbs 8: 17-18, John 3:16, Matthew 26:41, Gen 22: 4-17

Teacher:-  Pastor Paul Orimolusi

The main text  (1 cor 13:1-10) lists the characteristics of love. It is very important we demonstrate our love to God and man.

Characteristics of Love.

Love Gives:

In the book John 3:16, the bible tells us God so loved the world he allowed his only Son die for us.
His Son (Jesus) was also willing to yield himself as a sacrifice for our sins.
He paid the debt he did not owe just for us.

Also, in the book of Genesis 22: 4-17, it narrates the story of Abraham willing to give up his only son just to prove his love for God.
Note that Abraham was classified as a friend of God, yet his love for God was tested.
Abraham had waited for 25 years to have this promised child yet God asked him to sacrifice his only child.
God only made this request to see how much Abraham loved God.

The book of James 1:12  states that anyone who passes the test, such person will receive the crown of life. Don't be discouraged when you are tried or tested. Remember there is a crown awaiting you.

Have a blessed Week!!!

Title - New Resolution

Main Text:-  Micah 6: 1-8

Teacher:-  Deaconess Precious Ogundipe

Resolution is a firm decision to do or not to do something.

Many people created new resolutions as we entered the year 2014.

For example, some would love to lose weight in the new year, others to read the word of God everyday, some to finish the bible in a year, whilst others say "I will eat healthy".

However, we find out most people don't meet their expectations due to one excuse or the other. Some will say, the resolution is boring, others will say I'm too busy and much more excuses.

The fact is we are the Israelite of today. We are quick to judge the Isrealites of old however we are worse than them.Malachi 6:1-8

If you create a new year resolution and you are struggling with keeping up, you need Jesus in your life because with Jesus you can do all things.
Daniel 11:32 states "if you know God, you will do exploits"
Invite Jesus in your heart today and you will find out you can do all things once you have Jesus by your side.

As you invite Jesus in your life today, you will find it easier to keep up with your new year resolutions (as long as they are according to God's will).
You will never be put to shame in Jesus Name.

Remain Blessed.

Title - The Purpose Of Our Living

Main Text:-  Rev 4:11

Teacher:- Pastor (Mrs) Hope Orimolusi.

Why am I on this earth? Why am I a Christian? Why am I a woman/man? Why didn't God make me a piece of wood? Or a chair? God created us in His own image. He created us for a purpose. Rev 4:11

We may be asking ourselves if anything good can still come out of our lives. As long as God is still on the throne, God has a purpose for our lives and He will cause it to come to pass.

Why did God create us?
1. You were created, FOR God, to know God and live for Him. God created us for His own pleasure. The life you are living is not yours. Anything out of living for God is useless. Nobody is praying to die, but it is a debt that everyone has to pay. Let us ask ourselves the question 'If I close my eyes in death now, who will welcome me home?' Live your life for the glory by loving Him with all your heart, mind and might. Deut 10:12 1 Cor 10:21, Gen 6:6.

When you make God the number one thing in your life, He will go out of His way to make you happy.

Prayer Point: Lord please help me to fulfill Your purpose for creating me. Lord please show me mercy and help me to please You.

Title - Produce Your Cause

Main Text:-  Isaiah 38: 1-5.

Bible Passages:- Dan 1:8, Isaiah 49, Jeremiah 33:3

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi.

A lawyer is somebody that goes to the court with facts. He is aware there is a plaintiff and a defendant. Both parties will have their individual lawyers.
It is likely the guilty party gets away with a crime or an offence committed if he/she has a very good lawyer.

Also, in the spiritual realm, God wants us to plead our cause before Him.

In the main text of today's reading (Isaiah 38: 1-5), although it was Hezekiah's time to die, he pleaded with God to remember how he served Him whole heartedly. Hence God answered his prayer and added 15 years to his life.

Let us break down the main text of today verse by verse:

Isaiah 38: 1
We are made to understand Hezekiah was a man that loved God with the whole of his heart yet he fell sick.
this tells us anybody sickness is something that could happen to anyone not just sinners.
King Hezekiah was so sick the bible recorded he was close to death.
This proves that challenges will come at a stage in our lives.
Isaiah 38: 2
Hezekiah prayed to the Lord.
Although challenges will come at some stage in our lives, we must turn to God in prayer

Isaiah 38: 3.
Remember Now:
When communication with God through prayer, do you have a case to plead before Him ?
Remember the devil is an accuser of brethren
Hence you have to present yourself clean before God so the devil has nothing to use against you.

How can we make God remember us for Good ?
1. Evangelism
2.Praising God
3.Cheerful giving
4. Consecration to God Dan 1:8, Isiah 49, Jer 33:3

Isaiah 38: 4-5
This verse proves God can break  a protocol.
Even if scientist have proved there is no hope for you regarding a certain sickness or whatever situation you find yourself, remember God is more than able to break that protocol.
Put God First in everything you do and He will always be there for you.

Have a blessed week :)
