Title - The Purpose Of Our Living

Main Text:-  Rev 4:11

Teacher:- Pastor (Mrs) Hope Orimolusi.

Why am I on this earth? Why am I a Christian? Why am I a woman/man? Why didn't God make me a piece of wood? Or a chair? God created us in His own image. He created us for a purpose. Rev 4:11

We may be asking ourselves if anything good can still come out of our lives. As long as God is still on the throne, God has a purpose for our lives and He will cause it to come to pass.

Why did God create us?
1. You were created, FOR God, to know God and live for Him. God created us for His own pleasure. The life you are living is not yours. Anything out of living for God is useless. Nobody is praying to die, but it is a debt that everyone has to pay. Let us ask ourselves the question 'If I close my eyes in death now, who will welcome me home?' Live your life for the glory by loving Him with all your heart, mind and might. Deut 10:12 1 Cor 10:21, Gen 6:6.

When you make God the number one thing in your life, He will go out of His way to make you happy.

Prayer Point: Lord please help me to fulfill Your purpose for creating me. Lord please show me mercy and help me to please You.

Title - Produce Your Cause

Main Text:-  Isaiah 38: 1-5.

Bible Passages:- Dan 1:8, Isaiah 49, Jeremiah 33:3

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi.

A lawyer is somebody that goes to the court with facts. He is aware there is a plaintiff and a defendant. Both parties will have their individual lawyers.
It is likely the guilty party gets away with a crime or an offence committed if he/she has a very good lawyer.

Also, in the spiritual realm, God wants us to plead our cause before Him.

In the main text of today's reading (Isaiah 38: 1-5), although it was Hezekiah's time to die, he pleaded with God to remember how he served Him whole heartedly. Hence God answered his prayer and added 15 years to his life.

Let us break down the main text of today verse by verse:

Isaiah 38: 1
We are made to understand Hezekiah was a man that loved God with the whole of his heart yet he fell sick.
this tells us anybody sickness is something that could happen to anyone not just sinners.
King Hezekiah was so sick the bible recorded he was close to death.
This proves that challenges will come at a stage in our lives.
Isaiah 38: 2
Hezekiah prayed to the Lord.
Although challenges will come at some stage in our lives, we must turn to God in prayer

Isaiah 38: 3.
Remember Now:
When communication with God through prayer, do you have a case to plead before Him ?
Remember the devil is an accuser of brethren
Hence you have to present yourself clean before God so the devil has nothing to use against you.

How can we make God remember us for Good ?
1. Evangelism
2.Praising God
3.Cheerful giving
4. Consecration to God Dan 1:8, Isiah 49, Jer 33:3

Isaiah 38: 4-5
This verse proves God can break  a protocol.
Even if scientist have proved there is no hope for you regarding a certain sickness or whatever situation you find yourself, remember God is more than able to break that protocol.
Put God First in everything you do and He will always be there for you.

Have a blessed week :)

Title - Evangelism

Main Text:-  John 15: 15-16.

Bible Passages:- Mathew 28:19-20, Acts 9:36, Mark 16:18

Teacher:- Mr Sam Johnson.

It is very important to know once you receive, you have to give back as well.

You are not a complete christian if you do not participate in Evangelism
In the book of John 15:15 -16, God commanded us to go and bear fruit (that is to win souls for God).

If we follow God's command and evangelize, we will bring peace to our community and the nation as a whole.

There will be no records of:
Bombing churches,
attacking schools
Kidnapping
Murder and all sorts of detestable things present in our world today etc

Matthew 18:19-20 also references Jesus' command to teach ALL nations.

Let us take evangelism seriously everywhere we go.
In church, at work, in school and anywhere else we may find ourselves

There are lots of souls awaiting your call.
Some are lonely, depressed, broken hearted and it is our responsibility as Christians to draw them close to God

Let us involve ourselves in God's business.
Let us obey God's words regarding evangelism.
Let us pray that we shall be useful for God's glory.
Remember there is an account of everything you do here on Earth.
Seek first the kingdom of God and all other things shall be added unto you.

Have a blessed Sunday

Bible Passages:- Isiah 41.10, 2Kings 6: 15 -16, Mathew 17:24-27

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Let us take King Solomon as an example.

God gave him the right to ask for whatever he needed, yet he chose wisdom over riches and wealth.

Now God is asking us "what do we want for 2014"?

Let us be encouraged to request for something of substance instead chasing after shadows.

All we need in the year 2014 is God's presence.
Anyone that secures God's presence is guaranteed.

What the Presence of God can fetch us

1. Guarantees protection. Isiah 41.10, 2Kings 6: 15 -16

2.Guarantees Provision Mathew 17:24-27

3.Defense Acts 5:34-39

4. Gives Honor and covers our shame
John 2: 1-11, Dan 3: 25 -30
Nebuchadnezzer had no option but to promote the 3 Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego

5.Gives Direction
God does not want you to leave a life of confustion in any aspect.
God's presence gives direction Ex: 13- 17 -2.
The only person that can give us the right direction is God only.

6.Guarantees Favour and prosperity Gen 39.2, Gen 39.21.
These bible passages explains God made Joseph prosperous and showed him mercy becaus His presence was with Joseph.

How To obtain God's presence.
1. Obey God's commandment.Deut 28: 1-13

Have a happy new year.
God Bless you.

Title - "Steadfastness,"

Main Text:- Acts 10: 1-5, .

Bible Passages:- Isiah 38: 1-2, James 4:17, Ezekiel 18:20,

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Introduction :Steadfastness could mean
  • consistent,
  • unshakable,
  • fixed
  • constant.

We will focus on the following outlines based on Steadfastness

Outline 1:

Did you know God considers it a Sin if anyone who knows how to do good, fails to do good ?
see James 4:7

Outline 2:

It is not right to do good and cease from doing well.
You must be consistent in doing good.
Once you stop, it is also a sin before God

Outline 3:

God Keeps Records.

Some of us may wonder if it is possible for God to keep record of events made by every single individual in the world (considering there are approximately 7.134 billion people in the world ).

Remember, God is not a man. Nothing is impossible for Him to do. If we humans are limited, God is not limited.

Any good or bad act that you have done, is in God's record.
No matter how big or small your act is, the Lord is aware of it.
Hebrews 6.10 states "God is not unrighteous to forget our work and labor of love.

An example of someone that God remembered due to his good acts is Cornelius.
Acts 10 10: 1-5 narrates the story of Cornelius
His good Acts brought salvation to him and his household.

Another example of a character in the Bible that was remembered by God due to his good works is Hezekiah.
See Isiah 38: 1-2.
The Lord extended his life by 15 years based on his good works.

Do you feel like no one cares about your good works ?
Do you feel like it is a waste of time ?
Do not faint from doing good.
Remember: It is good to do good because God is watching and He will reward you greatly.

Have a blessed Week.

Title - "Standing on the promises of God,"

Main Text:- Isiah 45: 9 - 13, 1cor 1:20, Numbers 23.19.

Bible Passages:- Proverbs 13:12

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

God can never be compared to man.

1. God is our creator.

Is it possible for the clay to dictate to the Potter how he wishes to be created ?

Human's are always dis-appointed because we tend to put our trust in man.
Humans are completely limited, but God's hand are not shortened to rescue us

Comparison between God and man.

1.God never slumbers
2. God never fails. Num 23.19
3.God lives forever

How do we know the promises of God in our lives ?
Answer: Through the word of God.
Remember humans can lie, but God never lies.
He exalt His word above his Name.

How do we know the promises of God in our lives
 (when we are troubled concerning)?
1. Life partner (remind God He has said in His word, it is not good for a man to be alone)
2. Health of our children Is 54.13
3. Salvation of your soul Acts 16.31
4. Lack (He is Jehovah Jireh~)
If we can only hold unto God's word, we will never be dissapointed.

However, Remember there is always a condition attached to receiving God's promise in our lives.
Remember in the book of 1sam 2:28-30.  though God has promised Eli there will always be a priest in his lineage, because of his Children's transgressions, this promise was cut short.

If God makes a promise to us, we must still Honor Him and server Him, then God's promise will surely come to pass.
Do not make the same mistake Eli made with his children as this caused him to loose God's promise in his life.

Remain blessed

Title - "When my faith is challenged,"

Main Text:- Ex 15: 1-3

Bible Passages:- Phil 2.14, Numbers 14.28, Ecc 5.2, Ex 15.1-3, Ex 16.3

Teacher:- Pastor Paul Orimolusi

Regardless of who you are, it is compulsory that our faith in Jesus will be tested.
Situations, poverty lack etc..could be challenging.

There are situations in life that have being challenging to Christians.
for example, the General Overseer was tempted.
3 of his children were delivered by operation.
He was warned by the doctors that his wife should terminate the pregnancy.
However, because of the fear of Jesus in Him, he refused to terminate the child.

When it was time for his wife to deliver to 4th child, she was in labor for days.
The devil tempted him saying his wife will die with the pregnancy.
Pastor Adeboye told the devil "with God all things are possible"
Immediately, he saw the light of God and the child was delivered safely.

Whatsoever you are going through, remember it could be a test.
Many people may get it wrong.
When unpleasant situations come their way, they question God.

When my faith is challenged,
1. I must NOT murmur Phil 2.14

When my faith is challenged,
2. I must not speak rashly Numbers 14.28, Ecc 5.2

When my faith is challenged,
3.Always think of one Good thing God has done for you
If we are thoughtful, we will be grateful
Ex 15.1-3, Ex 16.3

When my faith is challenged,
4.Remember there is an expiry date for everything Jer 46.17

When your faith is challenged,
5.Speak out your victory 1sam 17: 45-46

When my faith is challenged,
6.Cultivate the habit of giving thanks to God Ps 34.1

When my faith is challenged,
7.Remember God cannot lie
Numbers 23.19
